on the creation of this site
So I've built yet another personal site. Something I'm sure plenty of web developers have done, over and over, without ever using them for anything. That's my experience at least.
I don't know whether I'll actually use this site to post anything, but I enjoyed building it regardless. It's nothing special or in the least bit complicated (as you can tell), but I find building simple things can be quite fun and refreshing, especially when your day-to-day is spent building convoluted systems at the behest of clients (who aren't really sure what it is they want their application do, if they're honest).
The most likely thing I'll use this site for is testing out fun new packages I find, adding features I'll probably never use, but that I think are cool.
Other than that, I might use this as a place to chronicle some stuff that I do. I'm a developer by trade, but I also dabble in music production and art as a hobbyist - it could be fun to put some of that stuff on here I think. If I do write content for here, it's unlikely to be the sort of content often seen on "dev blogs" as that's not really what I'd go for (I don't think anyway) - that's not to say I won't add content related to development though, especially if I find or build something I think is really cool, as there's a lot of fun to be had sharing things you're enthusiastic about with other people.
That's all for now
